Utilising the co-occurrence of user interface interactions as a risk indicator for smartphone addiction
I just published a substantial paper on the viability of using smartphone interactions for addiction evaluation in Elsevier‘s Pervasive and Mobile Computing. The study highlights a novel methodology to transform and analyse large amounts of interaction events to infer a user’s level of smartphone addiction. This is a step forward from using commonly used metrics such as pure screen on time which can misrepresent the cognitive complexities and dependencies of human behaviour.

Resolving tree shake issues with MUI icons and Parcel 2 for Node builds
This website is built using MUI and bundled using Parcel. Parcel 2 enables a feature called "scope hoisting" by default. This includes tree shaking capabilities which in theory should resolve imports from their main package only if they are actually used, drastically reducing bundle size.

Resolving 404 issues with S3, CloudFront and SPAs
Today I worked on an issue that led me down a rabbit hole to resolve an issue with AWS. We noticed that security headers were missing from some of our CloudFront responses. Weirdly, everything was fine at first glance.
